Campground Directions
Morganton Point From Blue Ridge, Georgia take
U.S. 515 North (toward Blairsville) travel approx 4.5 miles
to the traffic light and junction with GA Hwy 60. Turn right on GA 60 at the
Lakewood Intersection. Go to the end of the road and turn left on Old Highway
76 and go about 3 miles to Morganton. In Morganton look for the Forest Service
sign for Morganton Point Recreation Area, turn right on County Road 616 and go
about a mile, turn left into the campground entrance. The fee station is on the right as you get into the campground area
next to the campground host site. Lake Winfield Scott From Blairsville, Georgia take U.S. 19 and 129 South for 10 miles; turn right (west) on Georgia 180 and travel approximately 7
miles, turn left into the Lake Winfield Scott Recreation area. The fee station
will be on the right about ½ mile in from the entrance. Desoto Falls From Blairsville, Georgia take U.S. 19 and 129 South for about 17
miles; turn right into the Desoto Falls Recreation area. The registration and
fee station will be on the right as you go into the camping area entrance.
From Cleveland, Georgia take U.S. 129 North for about 15 miles
and turn left into the Desoto Falls Recreation Area. Deep Hole From
Blue Ridge, Georgia, take GA Highway 515 North for approximately 4.5 miles to
the traffic light and intersection of Georgia Highway 60. Turn right on Hwy 60
and go 0.5 miles to old U.S. Hwy 76. Turn left on Hwy. 76 east for 5 miles to
Morganton; turn right on Hwy. 60 south and travel about 14 miles. Deep Hole Recreation Area will be on the
right, you will see the signs as you approach the entrance
